                                                                    The Mother Church Saga Continues

How was All Nations Full Gospel Ministry formed? Better yet, how did it ALL began?

As the congregation is refreshed of the church history each year, here are few recaps of the many wondrous works of God that highlighted the mother church’s foundation.

In 1990, God gathered 5 of his children regularly in a Bible Study whereby Ptr. Knaf Trinidad with the help of Ptr. Ric Alberto started to take over and disciple the group. It was the 23rd of September 1990 when God provided the first place of worship at the Malayalee Samajam along Passport Road, Abu Dhabi.

In 1991, the gulf war did not scare the children of God to continue the work. While most gulf residents relinquished going back home, the Lord has provided a residence, a home indeed, for All Filipino Full Gospel Ministry (AFFGM) at the St. Andrew Church Compound. The community hall was occupied by the congregation since then up till now. Praise God for Ptr. Vic Rozado who was instrumental in acquiring such suitable place and time slot.

In 1992, the church has embraced and responded to its specific calling to be a Missionary Church and to shake the nations for the Lord’s glory. Certainly, this is one of the distinctions of the church from others till this very day— being grounded and contoured well in Missions. Glory to the Almighty God!

In 1993, Ptr. Jun De Jesus was summoned by the Lord to lead the church as Ptr. Knaf had to leave for church planting in Brunei. It was also this year that Ptr. Jun was held into a 3-day confinement in jail while he was leading a group of brethren who were handing out religious tracts. However, the mighty intervention of God foiled the tricks of the enemy.  By his grace once again, the church remained safe and continued to do the work of the Lord our God.

In 1995, AFFGM turned into All Nations Full Gospel Ministry (ANFGM) as other nationalities joined the church. ANFGM was officially registered with the Philippines SEC office, which approved the church application to accept affiliation from any part of the country.

In 1998, Cell Group Ministry was formed and headed by Bro. Tony (who has now joined his Maker) and trainings for cell leaders and assistants were held. Cell group was later on called Seed Group in 2002 due to enemy’s imitation of God’s work.

In 2001, God intervened and raised up new leaders from Joshua generation who are willing to listen to the voice of God through their discerning heart like King Solomon. Eventually in 2002, Elders were appointed to revitalize and in order to meet the needs of the church for the Lord’s glory.

In 2003, new strategies for missions work were revealed. One of these is the first ever evangelistic concert in Sheraton Hotel whereby the church enjoyed the great harvest.  Moreover in 2006, another evangelistic concert tagged as “Candle Lit to Light the World” by MV Doulos (a missionary ship that is 2 years younger than Titanic) was brought into stage in association with ADPLA and was coordinated by ANFGM Singles Group, SOWER.

In 2005, a bigger pastoral home was provided and was dedicated on 2nd December. It was also this year that the 1st Workers Retreat outside UAE was held in al Buraimi Hotel, Oman.

In 2007, the 1st ANFGM National Convention was held with the theme “Growing Together in God’s Word, Fellowship and Mission”. Tulip Inn was jam-packed with about 400 believers of Christ.

In 2009, amidst the worldwide crises in economics and pandemic, the church continued to strive in glorifying God despite difficulties. God had never left nor had forsaken the church. The 2nd ANFGM National Convention with the theme “Call of the Hour” was held and gave the church a privilege to encounter enlightenment and revitalization from the Spirit of God.

In 2010, the Vision-Mission statement was re-formed and even enhanced -- Our Vision: To see ourselves as a vibrant, victorious, God fearing community of churches in every Nation. Our Mission: Go to all the Nations, Grow Christ-like Disciples to Glorify God. 3G was the theme of that year’s anniversary.

Last year, in spite of the release of two elders and some leaders/workers due to doctrinal differences, the Lord raised up new leaders/workers and brought another change that further strengthened the church having 400-500 members. 2011’s anniversary theme was vibrant— United Prayer, The Power of Mission.

Needless to say, in the intervening times, the Lord has established various ministries, different seed groups and distinctive yet unified OUTREACHES that complete the church saga.
